The New World (Myths of Mew Contest)

"Mew, the human world is now yours." Pronounced a booming voice, that echoed through the hazy chamber and reached the ears of a creature currently encased in a glowing pink sphere. The Pokemon sat still, as though afraid of the monster that loomed above it - rather, mosters. Beside Arceus was Giratina, who was trying to hide the discreet tears falling from her eyes.

"But Arceus," She spoke loudly, then had to pause to evade a choke. She swallowed before continuing. "It wasn't my fault - they were just so annoying, they got to me and -"

"There is no justifying what you have done, Giratina. Your violence killed many, and if, as you say, you were unable to control yourself during this time of hate then you cannot be trusted." Arceus was angry now, and Giratina knew that his wrath was not to be contested. "You caused an apocalypse that killed an entire planet, and that is unforgivable. You were supposed to protect the humans, and now I fear I shall have to give them their own means of protection... but how..." His serious tone turned into one that sounded more like he was pondering something important, before turning back to Mew. "Mew, I understand that you are young and are not nearly as powerful nor imposing as the rest of us, but you are perfect for the job. All you need is some support, which I plan to create." Arceus spun around on his heels, and hummed softly to himself at an empty space. In that space appeared a dark purple portal, leading to what was presumably another universe. "Giratina, go. This is your punishment - living out the rest of you life, well, eternity actually; in the world you destroyed."

Giratina looked dejectedly in the direction of the portal, and stuttered as though she was going to say something, but instead fell into a state of silence. She didn't want to face Arceus's anger again, so she shuffled through the portal - which closed the second she was through. Mew looked through the barrier of his bubble at the dragon, and waved his arm gently at her disappearing form. Somewhat afraid now, Mew looked up in horror at his creator, who stood over him yet again. "Do not be afraid, little one." He said gently, before popping the sphere and allowing the young Mew to move freely. Still unsure of how to use his levitation powers, the young cat simply hovered in the same place as previously.

"Now Mew, as I said earlier, you will be my eyes in this new world. I want you to watch it flourish under the hands of mortals, but ensure that at all costs you are not seen. Humans can be... Difficult some times." He trailed off into thought. "So, young one, before I give you the responsibility of a new world, you will have to get used to your own body first. I shall allow you to do so in your own time by sending you down to the planet, and there you can get to know your surroundings. When you are ready, I will create the life that you will protect." Arceus swivelled around yet again, and created another portal. This one was yellow in colouration, and understanding immediately, Mew nodded and struggled through the air to make his way through the portal to his new world.

I drew the image, and had a story in mind, then I forgot it. Damn. xD So basically, had to make this up on the spot! I hope it makes some sense, because if I manage to win this I'll be able to get my premium!
