Woman. WOMAN. You are honestly incredible at this. D: I'm in love with your shading (it's got this incredible 'painterly' style to it that makes it seem so vibrant and lively) and your illumination here is brillaint. Rirth is right - if I had the money, I'd shell out a lot more for art of this quality. It's beautiful! c:
I would love to be able to charge more, but a lot of people are pretty skimpy with points and considering that my art isn't hugely popular it wouldn't get me anywhere :/ I'll probably increase prices if I start getting more comissions, but right now it just isn't practical.
Thank you! Textures are really easy to use on SAI, but I have no idea how to use them on any other programs xD I think you need to paste them onto a new layer and set them to some kind of layer mode, on photoshop I think it's either soft light or overlay... Just play around with it xD
I've messed up with some textures in PS but I thought they were soooooo freakin' crappy I thought I was doing something wrong. xDDDD I don't know, I might check a tutorial one of these days, or even download Sai or something (despite I still don't have a tablet...).
Not gonna happen soon though, I'm gonna disappear for a while in no time because of... EXAMS.
SAI's really good for linearting with a mouse; it has a special feature for it! Not as many effects to use as photoshop, but an easier to use interface. And if you do eer get a tablet, it has so really nice pressure sensitivity and blending options c:
Ah, the dreaded exams xD I had one this morning actually! xD
Mine are all over the damn place - although I'm fairly sure I'm done for this year! I know next year I have a load of final exams towards the end of it, and a few in November and March I think. Other than that I'm good xD
Thanks! It did take a lot of work, but I'm afraid that if I price things too high that people won't want to buy them. If I do get a lot of people wanting one I might raise the prices, but right now I don't think I can get anywhere without keeping them low.
I just feel like you're really selling yourself short by offering it for such a low price... Do you really want to spend that much time on something (even though it looks fantastic!) for just $1.25? In fact I think you should be charging $5, at the very least. Come on.... Have more confidence in your ability. :/
